  1. I am trying to make a large poster print of the color map for my nursery. Do you have the file in jpg? The cheapest color prints require a graphic file type.

    Thanks

  2. These are absolutely amazing! Would love to see one of the Europe and other continents/ countries πŸ™‚

  3. These are fantastic! Thank you so much!!
I’m also going to be using your flag buntings in my classroom this year. πŸ™‚

  4. Help. How do I download? All I see is an advertisement with a big green download button that never gives me the map.

  5. I would like to take this map and have it enlarged for a personal craft project, my local copy shop said they need a release from you. Can you please help me!!

      • Thank you for your reply. Do you not allow for your documents be taken somewhere to be enlarged? I saw the link you sent where they can be purchased, but I was just wondering. Thank you
        Rachel

    • I know this is an old post but just an FYI for those who are interested: Once you download the file as a PDF you can choose to print it using the “Poster” option from the print screen. Then you select the enlarged size you want and it prints the picture broken into segments on individual pages that can be fit together like a puzzle to make a larger poster. We did one enlarged to 350% and it printed on 15 sheets – three rows of five. The finished product looks great on our classroom bulletin board!

  6. Its great! i can finally relax and tick off the states which I have a quarter minted from. I am currently in Shanghai holding a $50 bill (don’t know why) and I can command+P and tick away at texas…

  7. I am hosting a book club for my 8-year-old and some friends every other week this summer, and we try to do an activity related to the book we’ve read at each meeting. In honor of Independence Day, this week we’re discussing “Who Was George Washington” by Roberta Edwards and doing activities about the U.S. and George Washington. For our opening activity I’m printing your BW map and having the kids color in the states they’ve visited. Thanks for such a beautiful map to share with them!

  8. I can’t get the big, beautiful, color version to load! Is there another way to download it? I LOVE it!

  9. Thank you for sharing these beautiful maps- I’m sure we’ll all be able to come up with some crafty and educational ways to use them. I am passing them along via K12’s Pineterest for others to enjoy as well.

  10. Why is the northern panhandle cut off of West Virginia? The whole area I grew up in is completely gone.

    • I had the same question (although I grew up in Charleston). Stylized maps are attractive to look at, but lopping off whole parts of states is a problem.

  12. Just what I was looking for. I have grandchildren on the east coast and on the west coast and I’m always looking for activities we can do together.

  13. Thank You So Much!!! I don’t know if I am getting dumber or programs are getting much harder to print out!!! All I needed was a few copies of the USA map, blank, with copitals, and w/out capitals. It was impossible for be to find this online and print it out in BLACK ink only! YOU provided me with exactly what I needed for my students! Thank you!!

  14. Thank you very much for these awesome printables! I wanted to share with you what my son and I have made. Griffin and I have been working on an area to display his ‘postcard geography project’. He has reached out to friends/family asking if they might send him a postcard from their area. We added a map to a bulletin board so he can put a pin in the state when he receives a postcard. To help him keep track visually, we made a banner with the states attached in alphabetical order. When he receives a postcard he will take the state off of the banner and add the postcard in it’s place. He is having a ball with this project!

    • Missy- What you did is cute! What sizes did you print these out? It looks like 11×14, correct? I am looking to do something similar with my kids. Hope you will be able to answer my questions! πŸ™‚ Thank you!

      • Hi Alexis, I believe I printed it out just as shown on the print option. I didn’t resize it or anything. I did print on cardstock so it would be a bit sturdier than standard copy paper. πŸ˜‰

  15. would it be possible to move or remove the tag “map of the usa” on the zazzle site? I want to customize in the middle of the map and it will run into the tag.

  16. This is great! Is there a world map to match by any chance?!?! I would love to hang both in our playroom! Thanks!

  17. Um.. Your not supposed to color a state blue because it indicates a body of water. I’m just pointing it out for some people that doesn’t know this because it’s important to know when you coloring a map.

  18. Hello. I downloaded the color map and went to print it at Staples and they told me they would not print it because it was copyright protected. Is this printable free?

  19. Can you help?

Hi, I wanted to print out the Map of the USA with States & Capitals on a 36×24 poster and I’m actually having issues trying to send it to a print or find a copy I can get printed. Thanks

  20. Would it be possible to request that a world atlas be designed?! My husband travels internationally for work and my daughter is of the age now that we are talking about where he is and learning about it. I could get a atlas anywhere I suppose but I love your design aesthetic!

  21. All of the maps with the exception of the full color version are missing Long Island off the East Coast.

  22. Have these been taking down? I was really hoping to use the color version in the playroom of our new house. Any advice?
